HGV driver welfare has long been a concern in the industry, not simply in terms of simple human dignity. Drivers often complain about inadequate or non-existent toilet facilities for example. Poor show. It’s also really important in terms of driver retention. Crucial at a time of ongoing driver shortages. For this reason, it is heartening to see DP World open a driver welfare facility at its Southampton container terminal and logistics hub.
