The 12 stars are firstly the 12 tribes of ancient Israel, and than unity, harmony and hope. The EU simply adopted the flag. It can, and should, be flown by all members of the Council of Europe.

You are hereby warned: By continuing to manufacture and distribute weapons that fuel violence, destruction, and loss of innocent lives, you are violating the inalienable right to life guaranteed by international human rights law. You are in breach of: Article 3 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights — the right to life, liberty, and personal security; Article 6 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights — the inherent right to life which must be protected by law; Various provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights, including the right to life and security. Your actions directly contribute to the suffering of civilians, the destabilization of societies, and the perpetuation of armed conflicts worldwide. If you persist in this conduct, you will face the following consequences:

I think it is time for the EU to compel its members to be part of NATO! No exceptions, if you do not want NATO.. then EU does not Want you! The EU block can not afford traitors within. Geopolitics has moved on.. the dangers to EU values are clearer.
