European Maritime Safety Agency’s Post

Today, in the framework of the Maritime Cyprus event, we held a special outreach session with young seafarers and maritime students in the Old Port in Limassol. Organised with the support of the Shipping Deputy Ministry of Cyprus, the event gathered cadets and students from Cypriot universities and seafarer training academies. The students came from Cyprus and from all across the world – countries like Egypt, Panama, Mexico, and Venezuela were represented at the event. With live links to our Maritime Support Services centre and our EMSA eLaboratory, the students took part in an interactive session to learn more about our Agency and what we do. Thank you to each and every one of the students and cadets who participated today, and a special thank you to their teachers and course directors!
