Two well-crafted legislations that ensure digital sovereignty, consumer protection, and ethical business practices. In today’s unstable political landscape, where vast amounts of sensitive data are being used, strong technical and security measures are not a burden but a necessity. AI governance is a perfect example without proper oversight, AI can pose real risks, and the EU AI Act directly addresses these concerns. Having worked in data protection for years, I’ve seen firsthand how GDPR positively impacts privacy. At the same time, I’ve been increasingly concerned about AI’s risks when left unchecked.
