Explogen LLC’s Post

Today we celebrate International Microorganism Day! 🧫 On this date in 1683, Antonie van Leeuwenhoek first described bacteria using his handmade microscopes — a milestone that reshaped how humanity views life at the smallest scale. Microorganisms often go unnoticed in our daily lives, yet they play a central role in health, the environment, and biotechnology. From soil fertility and food production to the discovery of antibiotics, their impact is immense. At Explogen, microorganisms are at the heart of our work. We study, design, and apply microbial systems to push forward innovation in biosynthesis and genetic engineering. Every project we take on reflects the same curiosity that started with Leeuwenhoek’s lens — seeing opportunity in what cannot be seen with the naked eye. Today is a reminder of both history and future potential. Small organisms, big influence. 🌱🔬 #InternationalMicroorganismDay #Explogen #Biotechnology #Microbiology
