“The world of work is transforming — and so are the ways people build their careers. Apprenticeships, certifications, mentorships and community college partnerships are commonly called alternatives to four-year degrees — but in fact, they’re accelerators for success, offering real pathways to opportunity and mobility.” - Lisa Johnson, Director of the National Institute for Work and Learning at FHI 360 #WorkforceDevelopment #EducationInnovation #CareerPathways #FutureReady 📸 Photo credit: Gabriela Rancier/Productora Comando for FHI 360

Success doesn’t always follow the traditional route of university. For many, it starts with an apprenticeship — learning, earning, and growing at the same time. Apprenticeships open doors to careers that combine practical skills with real-world impact. Every Apprentice is proof that success is built step by step, not in a lecture hall but in the workplace. 🚀 #banambassador #banchampion To view or add a comment, sign in

7 Steps to Stronger Teams with Apprenticeships 💡 Did you know that a Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) can solve workforce shortages and build loyal employees at the same time? Here’s how it works in 7 simple steps: Step 1 - Learn the basics — apprenticeships are paid jobs + classroom training. Step 2 - Identify roles that are tough to fill. Step 3 - Design training tailored to your industry. Step 4 - Recruit motivated internal and external candidates. Step 5 - Support your mentors (your best employees become coaches). Step 6 - Track progress through hours or skills. Step 7 - Celebrate graduates — they earn a nationally recognized credential and often stay with your company long term. ✅ The result? A skilled, loyal workforce trained to your standards. If you’ve been struggling to hire or want a new way to grow your team and business, an apprenticeship program might be the answer. 👉 Curious how this could work in your business? We are excited to share that NASTAD is partnering with the National Project on Apprenticeship Standards and Interoperability (PASI). This initiative marks a significant step forward in strengthening registered apprenticeship as a cohesive national system. Over the next four years, states will work together through PASI to shape the tools, processes, and practices that improve the quality, transparency, and portability of apprenticeship programs across the country. With national momentum for apprenticeship at an all-time high, this collaboration provides a powerful opportunity to harness that energy and translate it into lasting systems change. We look forward to sharing more details at our upcoming conference, where we’ll begin rolling up our sleeves and diving into the work. If you haven’t registered yet, hurry before time runs out! https://lnkd.in/g84d9KTt To view or add a comment, sign in

While we know that apprenticeships are England-specific, the skills needs are global. That’s why BPP complements apprenticeships with commercial training so what’s learned in London can be replicated in Frankfurt, APAC, or the US. Consistency matters when building capability across borders. How consistent is your skills strategy across countries? 👀 #GlobalLearning #WorkforceDevelopment #SkillsStrategy To view or add a comment, sign in
