After five incredible years, I have decided to step down from my role at SoSafe. When I joined, SoSafe was still a toddler—full of curiosity, energy, and the occasional chaos that comes with learning quickly. Around the same time, my own family began to grow. During these five years, in addition to my daughter Marie, Lasse was born (now almost 4), and Frida joined us a year and a half ago. Watching both SoSafe and my two younger children grow side by side has been one of the most special experiences of my life. There were sleepless nights—some due to babies, others due to launches. There were first steps, first words, and first milestones. In both cases, it took a village. A huge thank you to Niklas Hellemann, Lukas Schaefer, and Felix Schürholz for trusting me on this journey—for the freedom, the challenge, and the fun. Building this together has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my career. To Gonçalo, Felix, Daniel, Stefan, Charline, Fabio, Amin, Jana and many others I can't possibly tag here, I could easily mention hundreds: thank you for the laughs, the grit, and for making work feel like a team sport. We navigated Covid times with canceled kickoffs, our first Human Firewall Conference (which we somehow pulled off), and more tricky customer moments than I can count—but looking back, it all feels like growing pains that shaped us into who we are today. And last but not least, thanks to my incredible talented and ambitious wife Maren who did crazy things in parallel, and somehow we still kept everybody alive :D Now, it’s time for a short breather before something new begins. And just like any parent knows—you never really stop caring; you just watch proudly as they take their next steps without you.

Frank, what a ride! 🚀 Looking back at these five years together, I can only say: it’s been a truly exceptional phase. You’ve built and led SoSafe’s commercial engine through some of the most defining phases of our growth - taking us from early scaling to an international, multi-market organisation. Your pragmatic approach, strong intuition, and coaching spirit (I’ve honestly never learned more about basketball than from you 😉) have left a real mark on many people here and on our journey of becoming a “real company.” And let’s not forget: you steered all this through one of the most turbulent periods imaginable: a global pandemic, the shift to remote work, and the rise of modern cybercrime as we know it. For me, these have been some of the most formative professional years, filled with learning, emotions, and a lot of that unique scale-up fun. Seeing both SoSafe and your family grow side by side has been something truly special. Wishing you and your family an amazing next chapter, and I’m sure our paths will cross again soon. Thanks for everything, Frank, it’s been a real privilege. 🤝
