✨ Une soirée inoubliable autour du déminage humanitaire Le 16 octobre, Humanité & Inclusion Canada a eu le privilège de réunir à la Maison du développement durable une audience engagée autour d’un enjeu trop souvent oublié : le déminage humanitaire. Au cœur de la soirée, Gary Charles Toombs MA MSyl, expert international fort de plus de 30 ans d’expérience, et Stéphanie Barker, présidente du conseil d’administration d’HI Canada, ont échangé sur les réalités du déminage dans des contextes aussi complexes que #Gaza, le #Liban ou #l’Ukraine. Ensemble, ils ont rappelé l’importance du traité d’Ottawa et la nécessité d’une approche globale pour reconstruire les communautés touchées par la guerre. Un moment fort de la soirée : le témoignage sincère et bouleversant de Lamia Charlebois, qui a partagé son histoire personnelle liée au conflit au Liban, donnant une résonance humaine à tous les échanges. At the heart of the evening, Gary Toombs, an international expert with over 30 years of experience, and Stéphanie Barker, Chair of the Board of Directors of HI Canada, discussed the realities of mine clearance in complex contexts such as Gaza, Lebanon, and Ukraine. Together, they highlighted the importance of the Ottawa Treaty and the need for a comprehensive approach to rebuilding communities affected by war.  A highlight of the evening was the sincere and moving testimony of Lamia Charlebois, who shared her personal story related to the conflict in Lebanon, giving a human dimension to all the discussions. True to its commitment, Humanity & Inclusion Canada continues to bring the Canadian community together around major humanitarian issues.
