💬 “You need to show a real problem you're solving, not just a cool solution.” 💬 “Living in a small country forces you to think outside the box.” 💬 “Healthcare regulations can be enablers, not just roadblocks.” 💬 “Access to capital and data is still too limited.” These were some of the standout insights from yesterday’s "State of Healthtech" event, organised by Silicon Luxembourg—a refreshing and candid look at where Luxembourg’s healthtech ecosystem stands today. The format brought together innovators, investors, and ecosystem enablers for a rich exchange of perspectives, from real-world use cases to structural gaps that still need closing: 🤠 Matthieu Bracchetti (Virtual Rangers) showed us how VR is already reshaping care, from immersive emergency training to easing children through treatment with playful distraction. 🚀 Kyle Acierno (Exobiosphere) urged founders to lead with ambition and a real problem to solve. ⚡ He admitted to starting fundraising before even incorporating. 🤯 💰 Alain Rodermann (Expon Capital) reminded us: investors are betting on people and grit as much as technology. 💡 Jean-Philippe Arie (Luxinnovation GIE) called for a critical mass of startups to de-risk the local ecosystem. 💪 Andreas Kremer (ITTM) reframed regulation as an enabler, pointing to GDPR’s evolution and hope for the same with EHDS. 🏥 Nicolas Henckes (Hospilux S.A.) emphasised ecosystem openness, political will, and the long arc of digitalisation in health. 🚀 Astou Ndiaye (HALE-X) made it plain: “Trust is complex, and access to capital and data remains a challenge for local startups.” 📚 And Anna Vassileva’s dystopian novel Sang Sommeil was a timely reminder that the future of health is also about control, equity, and values. Thanks to Silicon Luxembourg for the invitation, and in particular Charles-Louis Machuron, Judith Schleder and Pierre-Yves Lanneau Saint Léger for curating a thoughtful and energising event.
Very nice and inspiring event with great speakers ! Thanks Silicon Luxembourg 🇱🇺 for the invitation 🤩
Great job, Silicon Luxembourg, at gathering the #healthtech community in Luxembourg and bringing forward inspiring innovation projects like Virtual Rangers, Exobiosphere and HALE-X. It's always refreshing having Jean-Philippe Arie and Andreas Kremer on stage, seasoned experts not afraid to speak their minds and paint a realistic view of the national healthtech ecosystem, with its flaws and strengths. 🐝
