A lot of talk here, but you cannot escape that this is a 'filler' service - for when you don't have a reasonable fixed line service, whether that is because of build out issues or, as it is in the US mostly, a complete lack of competition that results in consumers having no choice. It cannot get away from the fact that the performance even of 5G, albeit better than a DSL or Cable service from 2001, is nothing like what even the lowest cost fibre product provides today. Global 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) subscriptions are set to more than double by 2030, according to Omdia’s 5G FWA Go-to-Market Strategies – 2025.
