International Development Research Centre (IDRC)’s Post

Artificial Intelligence is reshaping education — and countries are learning together. Through #GPEKIX, IDRC’s joint initiative with the Global Partnership for Education, countries are collaborating to prepare their education systems. In Côte d’Ivoire, a regional workshop brought together policymakers and experts to co-develop AI competency frameworks for teachers and students — a key step toward integrating AI into education. This initiative is part of a peer learning exchange involving Benin, Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, and Senegal, supported by the KIX Europe, Middle East and North Africa, Asia and Pacific (EMAP) Hub. Together, these lead nations are building reference repositories to guide Ministries of Education in defining the essential skills needed to navigate the pedagogical and societal impacts of AI. Organized in partnership with UNESCO and the Ministry of Education of Côte d’Ivoire , this effort reflects the heart of GPE KIX’s mission: enabling countries to learn from one another, share evidence-based solutions, and drive innovation. At IDRC, we believe that those closest to a problem are best positioned to identify the solution — and that knowledge, when shared across borders, can transform lives and strengthen global stability. 🔗 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dRKGZGud CONFEMEN Institut de la Francophonie pour l’éducation et la formation (IFEF - OIF)
