The reactions at the POWTECH TECHNOPHARM trade fair were clear: finally, a solution for the most difficult cleaning tasks. When I presented the PopUp Whirly Air together with my colleagues, it became clear to me once again how great the need for true automation is. Tanks and ducts don't clean automatically – or do they? In many industries, hygiene is the critical point in the process. Especially in tight, hot, and hard-to-reach places – e.g., in ducts or spray towers – manual cleaning has often been the only solution up to now. But: time-consuming, error-prone, far from efficient. 🔹How much potential is lost simply because systems cannot be cleaned automatically?  🔹How much productivity is wasted because people are content with manual processes? 🔹And: Is this really still necessary? As a product manager at Lechler, I deal with precisely these challenges on a daily basis. That's why I'm particularly pleased that we were able to present the new PopUp Whirly Air at POWTECH TECHNOPHARM: An extendable rotary cleaner that has been specially developed for hard-to-reach areas such as horizontal ducts or vertical towers. 💡 What makes it so special? ✅ Self-drainable via pneumatic activation  ✅ Operation with compressed air for dry blowing possible  ✅ Vacuum in the tank permissible thanks to double-acting pneumatic cylinder  ✅ Optional end position monitoring via sensors  ✅ Operation with steam for sterilization possible  ✅ Hygienic design (all threads encapsulated by O-rings)  ✅ Food approvals FDA, Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004 I spoke to numerous customers at the trade fair—many of them told me that they used to have to spend hours manually cleaning their systems. Their enthusiasm was tangible when they saw how the PopUp Whirly Air completely automates cleaning - in horizontal pipe systems as well as in vertical spray towers. 👉 My conclusion: Cleaning no longer has to be manual. Good endorsement for MDO–PE from a company that is generally cautious when a technology is just a vision, to when it actually gains traction and starts reaching shelves. Hope to see similar traction in India where several converters have bought MDO on their blown film lines but are yet to become competitive with more common films and laminates.
