Hiring in Audit, Ethics, Trade & Compliance | Senior Recruiter @ Leonid Group Ltd | Global Corporate Governance

We used to think compliance was straightforward. But after countless conversations with professionals in the field and attending some truly insightful conferences, it’s clear: compliance isn’t just rules — it’s a mindset and a culture. Too often, we reduce compliance to policies, procedures, and ticking boxes. But real compliance is a shared culture — one that thrives on: ▪️Ownership & accountability ▪️The courage to speak up ▪️Doing the right thing, even when no one’s watching And there’s more. A recent article by Leonid Group Ltd highlights that when compliance teams are understaffed, hidden costs appear: https://lnkd.in/dYwY-UEr ▪️Increased risk of regulatory breaches (GDPR, trade sanctions, etc.) ▪️Burnout and high turnover among overworked compliance professionals ▪️Missed opportunities for strategic input — compliance becomes reactive, not proactive ▪️Delays in business operations — onboarding new vendors, entering new markets, all slow down Compliance cannot simply be imposed from the top. It must be modeled, encouraged, and embraced by everyone. When an organization treats compliance as part of its DNA — not just a set of instructions — it builds trust, stronger teams, and better decisions. So here’s a question for you: How does your organization bring compliance to life beyond the rules? #Compliance #ComplianceCulture #CorporateGovernance #Culture #Integrity #EthicsandCompliance #Ethics #BusinessIntegrity #CultureOfTrust #RiskManagement #RecruitmentRedefined #LeonidGroup

A great summary of what‘s going on in many organisations at the moment. Having understaffed compliance teams can only backfire.
