RFC 9872 makes recommendations for NAT64 prefix discovery for hosts supporting v4-to-v6 translation. Co-host Nick Buralgio is a co-author of this RFC, so we're taking the opportunity to talk about it in detail. We discuss the problems RFC 9872 is addressing and why a new RFC was needed for operational guidance, not necessarily defining a protocol or standard. We learn the effects of this RFC on previous RFCs, specifically 7050 and 8781. Lastly, we share the implications of RFC 9872 on listeners and recommend they do a little labbing to see what this really means for the networks they manage. In improv, you must be curious about your scene partner in an improv scene. When you create content, your audience and your topic are your scene partners. Be curious about their reality and needs to build a stronger connection with your customers or students. Ep 5 of Human Internet Theory is anywhere you find podcasts, and on YouTube too.

Lingsight’s Jack Grieve was recently invited as a guest on the “Writing Wrongs” podcast produced by the Aston Institute for Forensic Linguistics to talk about his work on fake news detection and authorship attribution. In the episode, Jack discusses his book The Language of Fake News, which introduces a framework for analysing the linguistic features of deceptive versus genuine reporting. Central to the study is the notorious case of New York Times journalist Jayson Blair, who produced both real and fake articles. By comparing Blair’s authentic and fabricated pieces, the research shows that deception leaves measurable traces in language style, enabling us to uncover both authorship and intent through linguistic analysis. This study is a great example of the kind of investigative linguistic work we do at Lingsight: using language evidence to uncover who wrote what, and whether a text is authentic or deceptive. At Lingsight, we have extensive expertise and experience in a range of forensic linguistic analysis methods. One such method is authorship analysis, including the use of “author clustering”, which tests whether a set of texts comes from the same writer, and “author verification”, which helps us determine whether a disputed text belongs to a specific individual. These methods are directly applicable to real legal cases where questions of authorship and authenticity are critical. We have built a strong record of consulting with law firms on cases of disputed authorship, and are always looking to expand this work further, providing expert linguistic insight wherever authorship is in question. 🎧 You can watch the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/eYTG4wrx 📖 And if you’re interested in reading the study discussed in the episode, it’s available Open Access here: https://lnkd.in/dV7mR_KG

🎙️ The Harsh Reality: Your Podcast Won’t Grow If You’re Afraid of Editing ✂️🎧 Too many podcasters treat editing like a nuisance — a box to tick before hitting publish. Some skip it altogether, thinking “raw and real” means leaving in every pause, tangent, and awkward moment. Here’s the truth 👉 unedited podcasts don’t feel authentic — they feel sloppy. And sloppy loses listeners... Learn more - https://lnkd.in/grufk8_v

Spent some time recently on several podcasts. Speaking about marketing and the challenges the industry faces is always fun for me. Even during sales calls with clients, it's fascinating learning about the challenges each studio faces and trying to figure out how to solve very real problems in the market. Sharing a trailer of one of these conversations that I truly enjoyed with the legend Harry Phokou. The full video is up on YouTube, and I encourage you to check it out and leave a comment.

Folks in Developer Relations often get asked to explain what it is that we do and the answer is usually varied and possibly non-specific (I do a _lot_ of things 😅). My guest on Community + Code, Kim Maida shares how she approaches those conversations. https://lnkd.in/gYEBVdU6 Check out the latest episode wherever you get your podcasts! 🎤

Over the last three months, I've found myself working with people/clients on more than just audio and podcasts. Once you start scratching the surface, the lessons learnt and frameworks developed over years of making radio can be useful in so many situations. From how you communicate strategy to people who don't inherently get the magic of content, through to what makes a good P.R story (and how you make sure that it's something you can actually execute!). I've talked about the power of the simple, which goes hand in hand with this - what is your USP and how do you harness that? Doesn't make it any easier to do for yourself though!

Create quizzes from your knowledge in seconds. Built with Davia 🤘 I've always searched for new ways to learn. I've tried tools like Google NotebookLM, which turns your notes into a podcast, it just makes learning feel more natural and engaging. But learning is also visual. Davia can take notes and turn them into quizzes that really help remember things. Feel free to try it yourself 📒

Co Pilot now has a built in podcast feature (catching up with Google) which takes 2 seconds to use! Turn your slides, knowledge organiser or an information text into a short podcast to help pre teaching or revision. Shouldn’t all schools know about this?
