⚽️ From Fields of Play to Front Pages 🗞️ After a deep dive into Venue Management 🏟️ and Sport Operations 🏃🏿♂️, Day 12 of the Sports Events Management Course shifted the focus from how events are delivered to who they are delivered for 🙌. Ilva Biedre reminded us that every event lives or dies by its clients — athletes 🏅, sponsors 💼, communities 🏘️, and especially the media 🎥 — each with unique needs, motivations, and expectations. Geetha Lakshmayya then revealed how media operations transform these client relationships into global impact: press rooms 📰, mixed zones 🎤, broadcast compounds 🎬, and flawless timelines ⏱️ that ensure the stories of the Games reach far beyond the venue. This new project will look at ticketing as a cornerstone of digital transformation, exploring how a more unified approach could: - Serve as the gateway to stronger fan relationships - Unlock harmonised data and new growth models - Support clubs in creating more personalised matchday experiences Together with the Swiss Football League and its clubs, we’ll assess different models and design a roadmap towards a potential unified ticketing ecosystem: one that balances club needs, creates operational efficiency, and unlocks future growth.
