"Computer science has a lot in common with magic... And it's not really about computers." I've been spending time watching some computer science videos on YouTube. Specifically the MIT OpenCourseWare playlists, which are honestly great and anyone looking for an accessible way to learn should watch them. But I can't get these lines out of my head, which was from one of the very first ones I saw. When I was a kid, I never really believed in anything beyond science and facts. Magic felt like nonsense, just stories people told. But the more I learn about this field, the more I see how the two worlds overlap. The deeper I go, the more I start to believe that anything is possible... And that two things can be true at once. We can have science. We can have magic. The world can be made of both. And sometimes, when we're lucky, we get to create beauty by bringing them together.
It’s amazing how youve managed to put this in a small description like you have. I’ve been feeling this way about computers for a while. I still haven’t quite worked it out, but it’s something to do with computers, science, physics, magic and a beautiful gift from all who has gifted. It’s like, I want to thank someone but I don’t know who to thank!
How do you define magic?
AI is magic :-)
Thank you for being so real Jade 🙌🙌🙌
Exactly what keeps me interested, the blend of 'magic' and science. I guess that's why they call it a craft lol

17hThere’s the Arthur C Clarke idea of magic: “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”
