Employee Commitment Expert | Hall of Fame Keynote Speaker | Author of Employalty™ | Boss Hero School™ Founder | Helping Leaders Build Workplaces Where People Stay & Thrive

There’s a ceiling to how much effort people will give if we rely only on rewards and consequences. Carrots and sticks might get results in the short term, but they don’t sustain commitment. Real, lasting motivation comes from within. It’s born from meaning, creativity, fulfillment, the feeling that what we do matters. When leaders focus on creating the conditions for intrinsic motivation, they unlock something far more powerful than compliance. They unlock commitment. The Boss Better Now Podcast is back today. 🎙️ And in my first episode, I’m diving into what truly drives motivation at work, and how leaders can activate it. So true, genuine motivation can’t be forced or bought. When leaders nurture purpose and belonging, they inspire people to give their best because they want to, not because they have to.
