This is my standard for truth in advertising. 110 years ago, last week, The Endurance was abandoned by Shackleton and his crew after it became trapped in ice. It would sink 110 years ago, in two weeks from now. The last survivors were rescued 9 months later. The wreck was found just 3 years ago and is slowly revealing her secrets. But anyway, the crew was not misled. This is the ad that recruited them. Truth.
Thanks for sharing Justin, the fascinating story of Shackleton and his Endurance is really inspiring. What a determined person! And they all came back safely, against all odds.
Unfortunately there is some doubt it is a real ad .... although I wish it were! https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/ernest-shackletons-famous-job-ad-men-wanted-for-hazardous-journey-is-probably-a-myth-5552379/
