We are proud to share that “Women working in Non Traditional fields”, a project by Manal Adil, supervised by Werdah Munib , has been selected as a finalist among 500 global entries at the QS Impact Awards 2025. The project focuses on women empowerment and celebrates women working in non-traditional fields, inspiring young women to break barriers and redefine gender roles in the professional world. Through insightful workshops on building digital portfolios and practical engagement, the initiative encourages skill development and visibility for women pursuing careers in unconventional industries. Developed in collaboration with Descon Techincal Institute , this project is a testament to SMC BNU’s commitment to fostering meaningful change, innovation, and social impact through education and creativity. ✨ Empowering the next generation of women in industry! The HGA Foundation was a Silver Sponsor for the 2025 Women in Industry Forum, hosted by the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance (GBRIA) at the Price LeBlanc PACE Center in Gonzales. The Forum brought together students from 27 high schools across six parishes and connected them with educational resources, career pathways, and inspiring role models. Through hands-on activities and interactive discussions, the event aimed to build confidence, answer questions, and help students envision themselves in rewarding industry careers—from skilled crafts to engineering, safety, operations, and beyond. It also allowed industry leaders to share their journeys, offer advice, and form meaningful connections with students. Under Work Package 2, our team has worked collaboratively to: 💡 Design a gender-responsive STEM training curriculum and programme tailored to women’s needs and experiences. 📚 Develop self-guided, asynchronous learning modules that make STEM education accessible anytime, anywhere. 🖥️ Define the technical framework and build the STEMazing Women digital academy platform, ensuring a user-friendly and inclusive learning environment. 🚀 Test and launch the beta version, refining the platform through feedback and hands-on engagement. 🎓 Officially launch and operate the Academy, opening doors for women across Europe to learn, connect, and thrive in STEM fields.
