One of the most surprising things I’ve learned building Fringe is how many HR leaders feel like a cost center and not a value driver. It’s heartbreaking when I hear HR leaders needing to apologize for asking for a budget. IMHO, HR is the heartbeat of an organization because they’re the ones creating the conditions where people want to stay somewhere they feel seen, supported, and cared for? The work of HR shows up in the long-term profit of retention, morale, engagement, and culture that lasts. I love seeing HR teams starting to believe in themselves and in what’s possible.
