The pre-conference evening at the Bristol Museum set the tone beautifully — celebrating IP Inclusive’s 10th anniversary and featuring a fascinating talk on Brunel’s scepticism toward the Patent System (thankfully much improved since his time!). The Congress itself was packed with insights — from how AI is reshaping IP practice to how the major Patent Offices and Courts are approaching it. The challenges felt far outweighed by the enormous potential for greater efficiency, ROI, and even democratisation of IP, leaving us hopeful that we can ride this wave thoughtfully and responsibly. The informal conversations were just as valuable, touching on global approaches to portfolio management, ways to make the profession more inclusive, insights on AI in China and Japan, without forgetting the joy of connecting with former colleagues, The Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys powerhouse team, and so many more inspiring people in our field. And I even got the chance to enjoy sunny Bristol and hunt down a few Banksys 🎨☀️ #CIPACongress
