AI fluency isn’t learned in theory, it’s earned through practice. The most AI-fluent employees don’t just study AI, they experiment with it, they test, evaluate, and integrate it into their daily work. Research shows these hands-on learners are not only more productive and creative, but also better prepared to solve complex challenges. For organizations, the lesson is clear: scaling AI fluency starts by making experimentation part of everyday culture. Fluency is Verb Laura Stevens PhD describes, “AI fluency is the ability to confidently understand, question, and lead strategically around AI.” Students don’t need to learn code, but they do need a basic understanding of how AI works, a healthy amount of curiosity and repeated guided practice using tools. In a Harvard Enterprise article earlier this year, Jeffery Pacheco states what instructors already know from their own disciplines, “Without hands-on practice, learning stays in the realm of theory—important, but inert. Practice transforms knowledge into skill. It’s what makes learning real.” AI skills are no different. https://lnkd.in/gDyaT6HA
