Beautiful day in Canada yesterday The morning rainbow, the colored leaves, the ride through the countryside, the variety of businesses on the Mennonite farms… We visited The Mennonite Story and had a typical Amish dinner at Aunt Ems As we learned about the Mennonite and Amish communities and I learned the reason they seem to resist change. It not that they fear change, but that their greater concern is how will the change effect the community. There are lessons here in Lean Manufacturing. Workforces with strong daily discipline in life and a greater concern for community thrive with Lean Principles. I believe this is one reason Lean is so successful in Japan. 🇯🇵 If you have a workforce with primarily Amish, Mennonite, or similar belief people the approach of equipping and engaging your team with Lean is very likely to succeed. If you are not yet on this journey, reach out and let’s talk. Pictures are from Heidelberg area in Canada #Lean #change #discipline #Mennonite #Amish PS. When that pie cart came out it was so over the top. Over a dozen choices to top off an amazing meal.
