🚀 Artificial Intelligence in Rehabilitation Care: Unlocking New Opportunities Last week in Budapest, at the European Forum of Rehabilitation Research, I had the opportunity to present on the potential applications of AI in rehabilitation care. From enhanced patient assessments and personalized interventions to predictive modeling of outcomes, AI is reshaping how we deliver care and support recovery. Key opportunities highlighted: ✅ More accurate and objective assessments of motor and cognitive function ✅ Personalised rehabilitation programs powered by machine learning and robotics ✅ Remote monitoring and tailored feedback to make home-based rehab more effective ✅ Predictive analytics to optimise treatment plans and discharge decisions ✅ Potential to reduce clinician burden while maintaining focus on empathy and human connection Of course, challenges remain: technology literacy, reliability concerns, and the need for large-scale clinical trials to validate outcomes. As we look ahead, AI should not replace the human touch but rather augment it, enabling clinicians to focus on what matters most — building meaningful connections with patients. 💡 The future of rehabilitation lies in a balanced integration of innovation and compassion. #ArtificialIntelligence #Rehabilitation #DigitalHealth #HealthcareInnovation #EFRR2025

In acute care, every minute counts. The difference between recognition and delay can mean life or death—and this is where AI is starting to make its mark. From triaging patients in the ED to predicting deterioration in the ICU, AI is less about futuristic robots and more about early signals that humans might miss. Some emerging lessons stand out: 🩺 AI as an early warning ally. Tools that track subtle changes in vitals or labs can help detect sepsis, ARDS, or cardiac arrest earlier. ⚡ Seamless integration is key. If AI disrupts workflow, it won’t be used; embedding it into monitors and EMRs makes adoption possible. 🤝 Human + machine collaboration. AI can suggest, but the final judgment belongs to clinicians—context and experience remain irreplaceable. AI in acute care isn’t about adding noise. It’s about bringing clarity in the moments that matter most. 👉 Where do you see the biggest opportunity for AI in acute care—ED triage, ICU monitoring, or rapid response systems? #AIinHealthcare #AcuteCare #InternalMedicine #DoctorsAIGlobalSummit2025 #ICAIM #DoctorsAI #DigitalHealth

"Teton.ai Raises $20M to Transform Elderly Care With Predictive AI." Copenhagen and San Francisco based Teton has raised $20 million in Series A funding to scale its predictive AI platform for healthcare. The round was led by Plural, with participation from Bertelsmann Investments, Antler, Nebular, and follow on from PSV. The capital will accelerate Teton’s mission to make high quality care more affordable and accessible while relieving pressure on overstretched caregivers. Unlike traditional reactive care models, Teton’s proprietary AI and computer vision technology creates digital twins of care environments, generating real-time clarity and foresight into patient health and daily operations. By predicting issues before they escalate, the platform reduces emergencies, improves resident safety, and gives caregivers back 25% of their time to focus on meaningful human interaction. Since its seed round, Teton has grown ARR 13x, formed a strategic partnership with NVIDIA, and built the largest point of care dataset in senior care. The company is scaling rapidly, with customer growth up 300% year on year and pilots underway with major U.S. asset owners to reach hundreds of thousands of residents. Notably, Teton’s technology has been shown to reduce falls among seniors by an impressive 82%, while also delivering 5x ROI to care operators within a year. CEO Mikkel Wad Thorsen emphasizes the bigger picture: “The economics of senior care are broken, rising costs, staff burnout, and poor outcomes. By moving from reactive to predictive care, we’re delivering measurable ROI for operators while extending both the length and quality of life for residents.” With a $220 billion global market opportunity across long-term care, skilled nursing, and in-home care, Teton is set to expand nationwide in the U.S., deepen European operations, and supercharge its engineering team to push predictive healthcare forward. #HealthTech #ElderlyCare #AI #PredictiveAI #DigitalHealth #CareInnovation #StartupFunding #cxolanes #FutureOfHealthcare #ImpactTech

Your heart beats 100,000 times daily. Your digital twin already knows which beat will be your last. The simulation runs faster than your real pulse. As a CS student exploring AI-ML, this concept blows my mind. Digital twins in healthcare create virtual replicas of patients. They combine genetic data, lifestyle patterns, and real-time sensor readings. The goal? Predict health issues before symptoms appear. Recent pilot projects show incredible results: •ICU respiratory patients get better treatment decisions •Premature infants receive personalized nutrition plans •Hospital operations improved by 15% •Emergency department congestion dropped 20% The benefits are game-changing: •Earlier diagnosis before symptoms •Personalized treatment simulations •Better surgical planning •Precise drug development But challenges remain significant. Data security and patient privacy top the list. AI model bias could harm vulnerable populations. Integrating diverse data types is complex. Still, the potential is massive. Imagine your doctor running thousands of treatment scenarios on your digital twin. Finding the perfect approach before touching your real body. From my Java and Python background, I see the technical complexity. But also the incredible opportunity to build life-saving solutions. The future of medicine is personalized. Digital twins powered by AI will make it possible. What excites you most about AI transforming healthcare? #AIHealthcare #DigitalTwins #PrecisionMedicine
