It was great to join the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan and new Environment Secretary Emma Reynolds MP at the Tideway London celebration reception. Cleaning London’s rivers is a top priority – and right now, every single one of our 41 rivers are badly polluted. The super sewer is a game-changer: now fully connected, it will stop 95% of sewage spills into the Thames. And with Tideway’s public realm investment, the river is becoming more accessible to Londoners than ever before. This is one of the greatest infrastructure projects of modern history - delivered on time and on budget. Huge congratulations to Andy Mitchell CBE and the whole Tideway team Lucy Webster, Jordan Newell FRSA and others for their incredible work.
