🦾 Not perfect — but progress that moves. <---> From Simulation to Synchronization <---> Tonight, I wrapped up something that’s been brewing for a while — a digital pick-and-place simulation built by connecting Factory IO with Node-RED. A simple idea: 🔹 Count parts in real time 🔹 Sync the logic through Modbus 🔹 Watch the data flow like a live factory floor Sounds easy? It wasn’t. The toughest part wasn’t wiring the sensors — it was teaching the system when to reset itself. Turns out, true automation isn’t just motion — it’s synchronization. Without event-driven logic and clear state management, even the smartest systems stumble. This small simulation taught me a big lesson — automation isn’t about code or tools, it’s about how processes talk to each other. Grateful to Deepa Belavi Ma’am, Prashant Sharma, and Sharanya Raghavendra Rao Ma’am from DTSecLabs Labs for pushing me to explore deeper into real-world OT logic, not just theory. 🙏 Tomorrow’s factories will be built on systems that think in events, not loops.
