Is your EdTech earning its keep? Many institutions are still asking this question — and it’s not because teachers don’t know how technology works. The issue is more fundamental — and more overlooked. Most educators are unsure how to integrate EdTech into the teaching sequence in a way that genuinely improves learning. This is a pedagogical gap, not a technical one. The TPACK framework helps explain why. Effective use of technology happens only when teachers bring together technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge — using the right tech, in the right way, for the right content. That’s where the HOW2 Platform comes in: an EdTech tool designed to show educators how to embed technology effectively within evidence-based teaching techniques — putting technology within the teaching sequence, not alongside it. When pedagogy leads, technology starts to deliver on its promise. 👉 Read TeachingHOW2s CEO Ian Harris’s new Insight piece on how TPACK helps institutions get more value from their EdTech investments 🔍 https://ow.ly/aGI050X9HS6 #TPACK #EdTech #teachingandlearning Ian Harris, BA (Hons), PGCE

💭 Rethinking Education in the Age of Digital Transformation The future of learning isn’t about replacing classrooms — it’s about expanding them. At EdTech Lab, we believe that digital learning is not just a trend; it’s a new ecosystem where institutions, professionals, and learners co-create knowledge. Online MBAs, micro-credentials, and AI-driven learning paths are redefining what a curriculum can be — flexible, personal, and borderless. The question is no longer “Can we learn online?” It’s “How do we make online learning meaningful, measurable, and human?” That’s the challenge we’re solving every day. 🔗 www.edtech-lab.com #ThoughtLeadership #EdTech #OnlineLearning #FutureOfEducation #DigitalTransformation

As K-12 educators, we are constantly navigating a crowded edtech landscape. The temptation is to adopt every new tool that promises innovation. However, true innovation comes from a thoughtful approach. The most successful edtech integrations are those that directly support a lesson's learning objectives, not simply substitute a paper-based activity with a digital one. This is the core principle of models like SAMR (Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, Redefinition) and TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge). Actionable Tip: Before selecting a tool, identify the specific learning goal. Are you looking for a tool for collaboration, content delivery, or assessment? Choose the tool that best meets that need, and don't be afraid to leave a tool behind if it's not delivering on its promise. In fact, a 2019 report noted that about two-thirds of district administrators have stopped using an edtech tool because it did not improve student learning outcomes. Let's learn from that data and be more intentional in our choices. #EdTech #ActiveLearning #ResponsibleTechnologyUse

✨ Attended Webinar on Effective EdTech Tools for Teachers ✨ I had the opportunity to attend an insightful session conducted by Redinc Academy, led by Rasna Hussain and Rumaiza Mohamed. The webinar introduced us to a range of effective EdTech tools that can make teaching and learning more interactive, engaging, and impactful. 💡 Key takeaway: A standout insight from the session was the concept of a 3-tool EdTech stack for teachers, consisting of: A tool for class management A subject-specific tool A tool for assessment and feedback This framework supports efficient teaching, encourages active learning, and makes lessons more engaging and impactful. I'm curious to hear from other educators in my network: What are the three non-negotiable tools in your own EdTech stack? Share your thoughts below! Technology, when used purposefully, can truly transform the learning experience and empower both educators and students. #Edtech #education #Professionaldevolopment #webinar #Teachers

We keep chasing innovation in education. But most of what we chase isn’t new innovation in teaching. It’s new tools. Remember the promises? • MOOCs were going to democratise higher education. • Smartboards were going to make lessons interactive. • Learning-management dashboards were going to personalise progress. • Chatbots are now sold as on-demand tutors. Each was launched as a breakthrough. Each mostly reproduced the same lecture/textbook model, only in digitalized form. It is a never-ending cycle of: New devices New media enhanced textbooks New learning systems None of which has improved learning. Innovation should be adopted at the speed teaching practice can actually use it. That means a clear purpose, measurable learning gain, and purpose-driven use, integrated into the learning design. Not just the interface. #BeyondTheTextbook #LearningNotGadgets #LearningDesign #CriticalThinkingInEd #PedagogyFirst
