🎤 "𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬." (c) In a video interview, Patrick Doelle, from DG HOME, European Commission, highlighted the vital role of migration while discussing the Prague Process Advanced Training for High-Quality Asylum Procedures, organized in Rome in 2018. In this short video with the participants of the training, he emphasized the benefits of the training, particularly how it equips officials to better manage migration challenges and improve asylum procedures, reinforcing the importance of migration as a solution to labor market needs. As many countries grapple with workforce shortages and aging populations, migration offers a sustainable way to meet workforce demands. 💡 #FactsAboutPragueProcess #PragueProcess15years #migration Prague Process International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD)

Australia's Migration Policy Shifts for 2024-2025, What are your thoughts on these new policies? In a significant move, Australia is set to reduce its migrant intake for the 2024-2025 period. Last year, the country welcomed half a million migrants, marking a substantial increase. However, to manage this influx more effectively, Australia will implement stricter policies. Two key changes include a rigorous English language test and the exclusion of workers with low skills. #studyAustralia #studyabroad #overseaseducation #settleabroad #Australia #settleoverseas #Manpasandmanpower #MMPLGLOBAL #GroupLservices #Indianstudents

The utility of the recognition of prior learning (RPL) pervades many contexts not the least being migration. The UN International Organisation for Migration (IOM) World Migration Report estimates there are 281 million international migrants in the world, which is 3.6 per cent of the global population! This course facilitated by the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) is part of the Diploma for Labour Migration Experts and Practitioners. I really enjoyed the course format, content and special guests, very professional, relevant and contemporary. Over 8 weeks we covered: 📈 skills anticipation and matching #RPL transparency, recognition and portability of skills 🪴 skills development for migrant workers before, during and after migration ⚖️ coherence between employment and labour migration policies 📃 skills component into bilateral and multilateral labour migration agreements 📖 case studies promoting skill development 🧳 dynamics of skills mobility and skills partnerships for development
