Here's something you may not have heard if you don't live in Israel. Channel 12 in Israel is reporting something, and I need you to actually pay attention to this. There are 200 Hamas terrorists trapped in a tunnel in Rafah. Israeli side of the yellow line. That's the ceasefire demarcation. Israel controls that territory. These fighters are cornered. No way out. Israel could seal that tunnel. Wait them out. End it. Instead, Israel is going to let them go back to Hamas-controlled Gaza. The condition is they surrender their weapons. Drop your guns, go home, live. Hamas. Their organization spent October 7th raping women at a music festival. Burning families alive in their homes. Shooting parents in front of their children. Kidnapping babies. They dragged mutilated bodies through Gaza while crowds celebrated and spit on the corpses. Israel has 200 of them trapped. And they're offering them their lives. Hamas still hasn't returned all the bodies of the hostages. During a ceasefire. And Israel is letting 200 living Hamas fighters walk if they disarm. Think about that. Israel has enemy combatants cornered. Hamas. October 7th. And Israel is going to let them live. Let them go home. To their families. The world spent 2 years screaming genocide. And this is what genocide looks like. Hamas had power over Israelis on October 7th and chose massacre. Israel has power over Hamas fighters and is offering mercy with one condition. Disarm. That's who Israel is. That's who Israel has always been. And if you can look at this and still call Israel genocidal, let's stop pretending this is about human rights or international law. You're just an antisemite who wants to destroy the state of Israel. And you found a narrative that sounds respectable.

Kindness to the cruel ultimately is cruel to the kind, as we have learned the hard way. Or perhaps we haven't learned.

As Iranians who closely follow developments in the Middle East, we are acutely aware that the proxies employed by the regime occupying Iran operate without regard for human life—including the lives of their own people. The rates of civilian harm and execution within these terror-affiliated groups, both inside Iran and across the region, are among the highest in the world. Yet the global community remains largely silent there too. Much like Israel in this moment, the victims of IR and proxy terrorism in Iran, Yemen, Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria are denied a voice in mainstream western media and also in our academia. Their suffering is inconvenient to acknowledge, and is omitted. The world’s free press, which should amplify the voices of the oppressed, chooses silence when the truth is uncomfortable. The truth in the Middle East is complex. But we fail daily in attempting to reconcile it as a world. We pick simplified narratives which lead to support for more polarization and hate. Thank you for sharing this example. Many will simply ignore it as it won’t fit their bias and world view but if we want to work towards a world of dialogue, we must consider the complexities and ask why they are omitted from our eyes and ears.

And all of them are carrying Russian made assualt rifles.

Very bad decision. They are not going to disarm. Seal the tunnel.

In this case, it's not a question of showing mercy. Hamas has said that if Israel does not allow the terrorists free passage, they will not return the remains of any more hostages. As always, Israel faces an impossible Sophie's Choice.

If they allow them to leave they are not demonstrating mercy, they are demonstrating stupidity.

Seal the tunnel, they can't be trusted, that's what they would do if the shoe was on the other foot. What were they doing in the tunnel. Accountability

Demand immediate unconditional surrender. If the terrorists fail to comply, then collapse the tunnels and move on.

I’m getting sick of Israel being so weak, it’s like they want their own destruction.
