What’s the real future of hybrid work, and are we even using the right words to describe it? At Running Remote 2025, leaders from HP, Amadeus, and MillerKnoll took the stage to unpack the evolving language, structure, and purpose of modern work in the panel “Reimagining Work: The Future of Remote, Hybrid, and Digital Transformation.” Featuring: ✨ Ryan Anderson, VP of Global Research & Planning @ MillerKnoll ✨ John Gordon, President & GM @ HP Managed Solutions ✨ Karine Olszowy, Digital Workplace & Future of Work Senior Lead @ Amadeus Moderated by Melinda Stallings, Founder @ The Positive Consultant Their discussion challenged the way we think about the “office” itself: 🔑 The best use of workspace today isn’t for solo work: it’s for connection and events. 🔑 Too often, offices are filled with people wearing headphones, talking to colleagues who aren’t even there. 🔑 The term hybrid has become too vague; distributed and remote are clearer, more intentional ways to describe how we truly work. 🔑 Structure and purpose matter more than presence, it’s not about where you work, but how you connect and collaborate. The takeaway: the future of workspaces isn’t physical or virtual — it’s relational. It’s about designing spaces, systems, and language that foster connection. ✨ Want to join conversations that are redefining the meaning of “work”? Post-pandemic, the rise and promise of remote work felt like a truly positive shift. I, like many, envisioned a future with more global job opportunities, breaking down geographical barriers and diverse and senior roles outside the traditional hubs of North America. Now, as the market tightens and job availability shrinks, it's becoming clear that this vision of truly global, accessible remote work hasn't fully materialized. Even in regions embracing flexibility, like Europe, the trend leans heavily towards "hybrid" models still tethered to an employer's physical base rather than true "work-from-anywhere" roles. In recent times as I look into new opportunities this has irked me. I'll be honest: I wished things would look different by now. Despite all the proven productivity gains, it feels like we're still not valuing one of the biggest benefits: the immense time and energy saved by eliminating the daily commute. That time is a direct boost to productivity and well-being. We keep on thinking of productivity gains from AI as the ultimate promise yet fail to adopt this simple method in a connected workspace. #RemoteWork #FutureOfWork #HybridWork #GlobalWorkforce #Productivity #WorkLifeBalance #Commuting

working remotely is just as effective as working from the office. Operating from home can be as productive as working within a traditional office setting. Embracing remote work models has shown that efficiency and effectiveness are not confined to physical workplaces. Many professionals find that they can accomplish their tasks just as successfully from the comfort of their homes, thanks to advanced technology and flexible work structures. Remote work is not a trend anymore. It is a smart business model. For employees, it means flexibility, balance, and more time for what truly matters. For companies, it means lower operational costs, higher retention, and access to a global pool of talent. Think about it. Every desk, every office light, every commute costs money. But productivity does not depend on how many people sit in an office. It depends on how much trust, structure, and autonomy they are given. A remote model saves thousands in rent, energy, and logistics. But the real saving comes from people who stay longer because they are happier, and perform better because they are trusted. Remote work is not about working less. It is about working smarter for both sides. #RemoteWork #Leadership #Efficiency #FutureOfWork #BusinessGrowth

💻 Why Remote Work Wins — Every Time 🌍 After years of hybrid and office experiments, one thing is clear: remote work isn’t just a perk — it’s a performance advantage. Here’s why: 1️⃣ Focus Over Friction No commute, fewer distractions, and more time to do deep work that actually moves the needle. 2️⃣ Global Talent Access Companies are no longer limited by geography. The best person for the job could be 10,000 miles away — and that’s a good thing. 3️⃣ Better Work-Life Alignment Remote work empowers people to design their days around when they’re most productive — not around office hours. 4️⃣ Diversity of Thought Distributed teams bring broader perspectives and richer collaboration. Innovation thrives when we think differently. 5️⃣ Sustainability Fewer commutes = smaller carbon footprint. It’s better for people and the planet. The future of work isn’t about where we sit — it’s about how we create, connect, and deliver value. 🌐 What do you think — has remote work made you better at what you do? 👇 #RemoteWork #FutureOfWork #Productivity #Leadership #HybridWork
