Here we go! Stepping, or jumping headfirst, confidently into the next part of my journey with Air Doctor. I’ve always believed that while data and frameworks help us make informed, educated decisions, there’s also that underlying surge that bubbles away, intuition, that can’t always be explained. Over the years, I’ve learned to lean in and trust it, especially when it comes to choosing my path and where to invest my energy and purpose. Eight years ago, my dad was visiting here on vacation when he suddenly became very sick. One minute he was sitting on the sofa, and the next, his hands and face turned blue while my mum and I were preparing Friday night dinner. It was a nightmare. Before he went rapidly downhill, we tried to find a doctor to consult with, but it was Friday night. We rushed him to hospital just in time before he shut down, then he spent a month in intensive care after becoming unresponsive several times (thankfully he is alive and well to tell the tale). Throughout that time, my mum struggled to navigate a healthcare system and doctors in a language she didn’t understand. She needed fast guidance, doctors that spoke her language and reassurance. Instead she was lost, glued to the hospital seat day in, day out. Sometimes the things we go through years earlier end up shaping the work we’re meant to do. That’s why when I was approached about Air Doctor and the mission of making medical care accessible to every traveler, anywhere and at anytime, I knew this is where I needed to go. It closes a personal loop that began eight years ago, turning a painful experience into a purposeful one. So here I am, obsessed about how this very innovative technology helps people in their time of need when they’re far from home. If it’s included in your travel or health insurance or if it’s one of these apps you need before you go away as part of your checklist for planning ahead just in case. Or, just simply knowing about it in the critical moment as a place to turn to. It aligns with my decision-making framework for joining, building and scaling companies with meaning, the one I’ve followed and shared with others throughout my career: - Purpose-driven - Real-world need and impact - Proven traction and opportunity - Growth - Smart, kind, and fun people - And a bunch of other things I can’t put:) Me and my red shoes are ready for the journey ahead ✨

This is amazing news! Can’t wait to see all of the amazing things you’re gonna be doing with this brand. Funny suggestion: I want something like an Air Jordan logo, but with a doctor and a stethoscope.
