Rules of (Clinician) Engagement for HealthTech Start-Ups: know your needs You want physician input You want clinical validation You want the inside scoop on what’s going to move the needle for patients But before you send cold LinkedIn DMs and get on Andrew Lundquist’s wall of shame Take a moment to align your team: Product needs - what stage are we in and how does that affect the type of clinician, goals of engagement, and estimated time commitment to meet those goals Clinician skill set - what skill set / experience does your ideal clinician bring to the table? And WHY DOES THAT MATTER? What is the ROI on having that specific person? Cost as a function of needs - how much are we willing to spend to get the person we want with the results we need It’s not rocket science or aortic arch reconstruction, folks It’s sitting down and taking to time to align your needs, goals, and resources. You’ll ask better questions You’ll get more helpful answers
