🖥️ While you may think your encryption is future proof, advancements in quantum computing suggest what is secure today could be vulnerable tomorrow. Quantum computing is an up-and-coming area of computer science and engineering that uses the special properties of quantum mechanics to solve problems that are too complex for even the fastest classical computers. Global investment and research in this area will have far reaching implications across a broad range of sectors. In this blog post, we will explain the potential implications of developments in quantum computing on how we currently keep our data and information secure. We will outline some of the challenges we face and what we can and need to do now to prepare. Read more below 👇

The insight that commercially sensitive data (IPR, chip masks, novel pharmaceuticals) is an early target for harvest no decrypt later is very insightful. This is a much more significant risk than my WhatsApp messages (photos of my dog and instructions to pick up milk on my way home).

At Capgemini we have fast tracked recommendations into our advisory services 2024/2025 Is when PQC Readiness Planning should be prioritised as a Strategic Budgetary Initiative 2026/2027 Is when Cryptography Inventory Assessments and PQC Roadmapping should be complete by For some of our clients we have even fast-tracked this item to 2024/2025 and some will start in 2026 2028/2029 Is when Key Business Systems should have been tested with PQC for performance For some of our clients we have even fast-tracked this item to 2024/2025 and some will start in 2026 2030 Is when PQC Remediation should start scaling out These will be long drawn out complex programs taking several years that will need budgetary planning across the entire application services and infrastructure services landscape So why delay, you should start now, if not started already It is never too late to start ... do not fall into the trap and wait to see what other customers are doing over the next few years, by then it may well be too late and it will probably cost you Nfold just catching up or even putting out fires that could have been prevented Come talk to our team to discuss your plan for your readiness plan for
