Company director, strategist and coach, developing top-tier leaders and solving complex problems to unleash progress and prosperity

Last week, AI was a hot topic at the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ annual governance summit. Stela Solar warned that “we must continue to build expertise because it’s required to get maximum value from Gen AI.” She emphasised, “it’s important to codesign a diverse learning pathway” so our teams develop skills in tackling simple to complex problems—particularly as “there is already research proving that critical thinking is declining in people using AI.” Some are speculating that artificial general intelligence may be realised “in 24 months”. In a world where “answers become cheap”, the real power lies in the questions we choose to ask. I’d observe that “What should we create?” is becoming the crucial question. It’s the question on the minds of leaders that recognise adapting (i.e. reacting) as a strategy to a fast changing world is deeply flawed. #AICD #AI #Innovation #FutureOfWork #EconomicTransformation
