📺VIDAA OS ranks #2 globally in Smart TV market share (Q1 2024) — right behind Samsung Tizen. By the numbers: 30+ million connected devices worldwide 7.8% global market share in Q1 2024 Adoption by 250+ brands What’s driving this growth? 👉 Manufacturers get a lightweight design that keeps hardware costs down. 👉 Developers get a hosted app model, meaning instant updates and no legacy builds to chase. 👉 Viewers get global heavyweights like Netflix and Prime Video, plus regional apps that make the platform feel local. The real story, though, is in the details: 🔹 How hard is it to bring an app onto VIDAA? 🔹 When does porting make sense, and when is a building from scratch is the smarter move? 🔹 What technical quirks do teams need to plan for before launch? That’s where our expert, Alexey Zaberezhniy, comes in. Having led multiple VIDAA projects (including a large-scale European telecom deployment), he shares what really matters for teams planning Smart TV rollouts: migration strategies, performance tuning, and avoiding the pitfalls hidden in testing. 📌 If you’re exploring Smart TV platforms, or simply curious how VIDAA is carving out space among giants, this interview is definitely worth your time: https://lnkd.in/egfTVSRj #smarttv #vidaa #vidaaos #streaming #appdevelopment #streamingmedia

Switching Wi-Fi networks more than a Netflix series binge? If only managing product features were so straightforward. This article explains how Samsung users can prevent their phones from toggling between Wi-Fi networks automatically, which can cause connectivity hiccups during calls, streaming, or downloads. Disabling the 'switch to better Wi-Fi networks' feature helps stabilize the connection, especially in cluttered network environments. For a product manager, this highlights the importance of offering user controls to improve stability and user experience while balancing automation and manual settings, especially amid increasing remote work demands. Thank you to Nancy Kariuki for this insightful take on device connectivity quirks. #Connectivity #UserExperience #MobileTech #ProductDesign First published: October 2023

Perplexity has been moving fast. First with Comet, bringing the idea of an AI powered browser. Now with the Samsung TV app, powered by Perplexity, AI is showing up right in the living room. ChatGPT has also followed with its Atlas browser All of these point in the same direction. The move toward zero UI. Where you do not need extra menus or apps. The AI is simply there in the background, ready to help when you need it. It feels like the big players are starting to realize the most natural use case. We do not always want more apps or screens. Sometimes the best interface is no interface at all. This is the same kind of shift we saw when mobile changed the way we used the internet. Only now it is about AI becoming ambient and natural across every device. Aravind Srinivas is setting the trend … #ZeroUI #AgenticAI #FutureOfAI #PerplexityAI #Comet #ChatGPT #Samsung #AIIntegration #AmbientComputing #AIeverywhere
Perplexity is working with Samsung Electronics on Samsung TV integration. People spend a lot of time on their TV and a native experience to ask questions right from where you watch is just the start. We are collaborating on a future to just get rid of the remote entirely and just talk to your TV in natural language. https://lnkd.in/g-hEySj9
