We are asking for your help, for your support. In a moment when the world is confronted with growing violence, war and conflict, we are asking for your help to make peace a reality. For 23 years PATRIR has been one of the world’s leading Institute’s working for peacebuilding and the prevention of violent conflict. Our mission is about impacting people’s lives at every levels – from overcoming domestic and gender-based violence in our homes and societies to creating safe schools, free from bullying, where every child can realise their potential, to working to prevent and stop wars, doing peacebuilding even in the midst of violent conflict. And to do that, we need your help: Donate to PATRIR: https://lnkd.in/dK6Qa8PE Over the years we have had incredible impact. We have helped to support peace agreements and cease-fires, engaged in critical moments to help prevent wars from breaking out, and worked to support communities and countries to heal from both the visible and invisible impacts and effects of violence on our lives. We’ve also made a difference in people’s lives at very individual, personal levels. Our work in schools where PATRIR colleagues have provided trainings and programmes that have reached hundreds of thousands of teachers and students, helping to support and inspire both to work for safe schools, overcome bullying, and learn the skills that can help us make a difference, in our own lives, and the worlds. Our work to prevent, stop and overcome every form of gender-based violence, and to bring together public institutions and government agencies, art and cultural institutions, civil society organisations, citizens – all of us – to work to ensure that every human being can grow up and live our lives free from violence; and to help us grow as human beings to be able to have healthy relationships, in the relationships that matter most to us. To training thousands upon thousands of practitioners – from senior government leadership to humanitarian workers, development workers, community leaders, survivors affected by violent conflict, youth, and so many more – to work for peace practically, and to make a difference in our world. At PATRIR, we know that human beings can impact the world – and be the change we want to see. We work at every level – from local to global – partnering with communities, countries, and national and international organizations to make peacebuilding and the constructive transformation of conflicts the foundation for sustainable peace. This is a time when PATRIR needs your support, to continue our critical mission in the world. We are asking for your help. We are asking for you to join us, to choose peace, and to help us – together – to be the change we wish to see in the world. Choose Peace. Emotional intelligence is a skill that can help anyone build harmonious relationships, avoid conflicts, and achieve personal goals. 🚀 Emotional intelligence is the ability to manage your emotions, navigate complex life situations, and build strong relationships.👥 Three tips to develop emotional intelligence: 1️⃣ Try keeping an emotion journal. Spend a few minutes each day writing down the emotions you experienced and the circumstances that triggered them. 2️⃣ Practice empathy. Put yourself in someone else’s shoes and imagine what they are feeling in a given situation. 3️⃣ Develop assertive communication. Learn to say “no,” express your needs, and protect your boundaries without violating those of others. This project is implemented by the Charitable Foundation "Social Health Foundation" with technical support from UN Women Ukraine and funding from the Women's Peace & Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), a flexible and responsive funding tool that supports quality actions to enhance the capacity of local women in conflict prevention, crisis response, and humanitarian emergencies, as well as the use of key peacebuilding opportunities. More than 117 million people were forcibly displaced at the end of 2023 as a result of war, violence, human rights violations, or political, ethnic, gender or religious persecution, according to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. Our team recently developed a new resource, “In Their Own Voices: A Manual for Inclusive, Victim-Centered Documentation and Memorialization of Forced Displacement,” to support civil society organizations, activists, survivors and others as they work to counter negative stereotypes about forcibly displaced people; establish clear and truthful records of the violations that they have faced; and work to hold perpetrators formally accountable. Download this guide to learn about developing a victim-centered approach, building trust, empowering marginalized voices, and using innovative storytelling methods through art, body mapping, and more. #WithRefugees

As we navigate a world more interconnected than ever, we are reminded that “the world is a small village” and, as Martin Luther King Jr. said, “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” The situation in Haiti today, especially in areas like Solino, is one that should concern us all. It is hard to understand how such extreme suffering can be overlooked, given that the impacts of such crises ripple far beyond borders. In Solino and other areas, residents are contending with relentless violence from armed gangs who have taken control of neighborhoods, disrupting daily life, education, and access to basic resources. Kidnappings, often targeting children and the vulnerable, have increased, and roadblocks and clashes are now common occurrences. These communities are in dire need of security and relief, as the lack of resources and daily threat of violence have made life almost unlivable for many. This crisis has displaced thousands, creating a humanitarian crisis that demands global attention. Recognizing the weight of this situation and standing in solidarity with Haiti’s people is essential. The more we overlook these realities, the more we risk allowing these injustices to grow, affecting not only Haiti but also the world’s collective sense of justice and humanity. Therefore, I am inviting you to take a moment to reflect on this, as global awareness and action are crucial in times like these. Standing up for Haiti means standing up for the values we share as a global community. As a 15-year-old, learning about the conflict in Palestine has been both eye-opening and heartbreaking. It’s difficult to comprehend the suffering that many families endure every day, losing their homes, loved ones, and sense of security. However, I believe that even at a young age, we can contribute to positive change and support the cause of peace. One way we can make a difference is by educating ourselves and others about what’s happening. Understanding the history and current situation helps us see the human side of the conflict and realize the importance of advocating for peace and justice. Sharing this knowledge with our friends, family, and on social media can raise awareness and inspire others to care and take action. Supporting humanitarian efforts is another powerful way to help. There are many organizations working tirelessly to provide aid to those affected by the conflict. Even small donations or fundraising initiatives can have a significant impact on the lives of people in need. It’s incredible how collective efforts, no matter how small, can create meaningful change. Additionally, promoting understanding, kindness, and respect in our own communities is crucial. By fostering a culture of empathy and inclusivity, we can contribute to a world where conflicts are resolved through dialogue and mutual respect. This starts with simple actions—listening to others, being open-minded, and standing up against injustice. The conflict in Palestine is complex and challenging, but our shared humanity and desire for peace can drive us to make a difference. Let’s use our voices, actions, and compassion to support those in need and advocate for a peaceful future. Together, we can hope for a world where everyone can live in peace and security, free from fear and suffering. #freepalestine
