On behalf of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) Investment Advisory Board (IAB), I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to our new Co-Chairs, Emma Haight and Chris Hulatt. Both Emma and Chris have been integral members of the Board since its inception in 2023. Their deep familiarity with the group’s work, from the insights we’ve generated to the innovative solutions we’ve delivered, makes their appointment a natural and exciting next step in the IAB’s journey. Their leadership marks a new chapter focused on deepening engagement with the investment community, fostering collaboration, and driving tangible, measurable impact. With their extensive experience, trusted leadership, and sector expertise, as well as the confidence of the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), they are exceptionally positioned to help realise the ambitious goals set for the next mandate period. At its heart, this period is about accelerating and diversifying the flow of capital toward resilience. Over the past two years, we have been humbled by the tremendous support and encouragement this initiative has received from our colleagues, partners, and network. On behalf of the entire IAB, I extend our sincere gratitude. However, achieving the objectives of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction requires monumental collective effort. I encourage all those who share our vision of a more resilient future to explore how you can contribute by supporting this mission, partnering with us, and helping UNDRR advance its critical work.
