Our research scholar, Niveditha P S, has published an article titled “Unveiling Time-Frequency Quantile Connectedness in the Asian Forex Market” in the Journal of Risk Analysis and Crisis Response. The study examines the quantile connectedness between foreign exchange returns of eight major currencies in the Asian market during two major crises — the Global Financial Crisis (2008) and the COVID-19 Pandemic. Using the Quantile Vector Auto-Regression (QVAR) method, the paper explores time and frequency connectedness under extreme events, offering valuable insights into the dynamics of financial contagion and resilience in the Asian forex market. Congratulations to Niveditha on this significant academic achievement and contribution to financial research! “Uncertainty is the new normal — are you ready?” The International Monetary Fund projects a 3.0% global growth by 2025, but warns of perpetual economic uncertainty. The reality? It’s time to adapt. Strong policies and global cooperation are more crucial than ever.
