On Friday, October 3, the Pirates front office traded their laptops for gloves and bats at our annual End-of-Season Softball Tournament! 🥎 This event is more than just a game – it’s a tribute to the late Shawn Gaertner, a beloved former sales representative and standout athlete from North Hills. Shawn's legacy lives on as we honor his incredible contributions, including his pivotal role in transitioning hundreds of Season Ticket Holders and groups from Three Rivers Stadium to PNC Park. The tournament brought together over 100 Pirates front office staff and the Gaertner family for a day filled with friendly competition and team bonding. Team Gray, led by Kyle Cartin clinched victory in the thrilling 8-team, double-elimination showdown! Anthony Argenziano received tournament MVP in honor of Shawn Gaertner. Thanks to everyone who made this event a success - especially Christina Nellis for her efforts in planning and organizing every detail of the day!

So much fun! 🤩
Always the best day of the year in office. Congrats to all.
This is awesome!
What a special tradition! Great way to wrap up the season! ⚾👏
Shawn Gaertner was my group & season ticket account representative. What a nice man. Was so sad when I heard that he had died. He represented the Pittsburgh Pirates Organization as well as anyone could. I am so glad to see that this annual softball game is played in tribute to him.
Probably beat the mlb squad
Any contenders to fill the real lineup?

1wIt’s great to see the memorie of Shawn lives on. A dedicated employee and a better person. This is more than a softball game to us that played in it. It’s been years that I played in this game and I’m sorry that I never said thank you to Shawn’s family for sharing his memories with us that worked with him. Thank you
