Investment fuels innovation, but access to infrastructure determines how fast it scales. The new Beauhurst x Parkwalk Advisors Spinout Report 2025 highlights a welcome resurgence of scaleup capital and growing investor confidence in innovation emerging from UK universities. That’s no surprise, as universities remain the UK’s number one innovation engine. But funding alone isn’t enough. Without the right infrastructure, spinouts can burn through capital on workspace fit-outs in disconnected locations — slowing progress instead of accelerating it. At Sciopolis, we’re building connected, ready-to-scale environments that help convert investment into lasting impact. 📖 Read our latest blog: https://lnkd.in/e9f2zapE #Investment #Spinout #Beauhurst #Innovation #Cluster #Collaboration #OnePortalWay

"Why Rhode Island?" For a revolutionary company like REGENT, it's the question they get from investors all the time. The answer is a story we were honored to help tell for SelectRI . A true pioneer needs more than just capital. They need a home. An ecosystem with the right talent, the right infrastructure, and a legacy of innovation in its DNA. Our mission for this film was to uncover that powerful symbiosis. We explored how Rhode Island's rich maritime history, its world-class carbon fiber expertise from the America's Cup, and its forward-thinking state partners like Rhode Island Commerce and Quonset Development Corporation created the only place REGENT could truly thrive. This is the power of place-based storytelling. It transforms a location from a backdrop into a main character—a critical partner in the journey of innovation. We help companies and communities tell these deeper stories of partnership and prove why "here" is the most important part of their success. A huge thank you to Partnership for Rhode Island and Rhode Island Commerce for trusting us with this story, and to the incredible team at REGENT for building the future in the Ocean State. #EconomicDevelopment #BrandStorytelling #PublicPrivatePartnership #RhodeIsland #OceanState #Innovation #Manufacturing #StorytellingForBusiness #HullhouseMedia

Something Special is Happening in Arizona Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting with Kyle Macdonald to discuss the future of innovation and growth in Arizona. It was great connecting with someone who shares my passion for building Arizona into a premier tech hub. We talked about why the state is thriving and what the next decade could look like for the Valley and beyond. Over the past decade, Arizona has quietly become one of the most dynamic and diversified economies in North America. What was once seen as a regional market anchored in real estate and tourism has evolved into a global hub for advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, technology, and entrepreneurship. According to the Arizona Commerce Authority, fiscal year 2025 was record-setting, with $33B in capital investment and over 24,000 projected new jobs. The Greater Phoenix Economic Council attracted 54 businesses to the Valley, many in advanced industries like clean tech, aerospace, and software. This isn’t just growth, it’s diversification, and it’s changing how people think about living and working in the Valley of the Sun. Talent is increasingly choosing regions that offer both opportunity and livability, with access to high-paying jobs, homeownership, cleaner streets, and a stronger sense of balance. Phoenix now ranks among the top 20 North American tech markets, joining innovation hubs like Austin, Salt Lake City, and Raleigh-Durham. New developments such as TSMC’s “city within a city” campus and the expansion of research corridors in Chandler, Mesa, and Tempe are turning Arizona into a magnet for engineers, founders, and builders. Arizona is proving that innovation and affordability can coexist. The next chapter of American growth is already being written here in the desert. #ArizonaInnovation #ArizonaGrowth #ValleyOfTheSun #EconomicDevelopment #TechInArizona #PhoenixTech #FutureOfWork #EmergingMarkets #Startups #Leadership #CommunityBuilding #InvestInArizona #InnovationEcosystem #AdvancedManufacturing #CleanTech #Semiconductors
