🌍 Advancing Quantum Frontiers: Highlights from the Alexandria Quantum Hackathon 2025 Earlier this month, the historic Bibliotheca Alexandrina hosted the Alexandria Quantum Hackathon—an event that resonated as a milestone not just for Egypt, but for the entire MENA region. We at qBraid were proud to be the platform supporting this initiative, helping to spark momentum for quantum computing across Africa and the Arab world. Enthusiastic participants dove into quantum problem-solving, taking full advantage of qBraid’s newly launched GPUs to accelerate their simulations coupled with 20+ tailored quantum computing environments, to bring their solutions to life. It was amazing to witness so many teams iterating, building, and sharing breakthroughs at a record pace. ✨ The spirit of the Hackathon 🤝 The Alexandria Quantum Hackathon was expertly organized by a passionate group of mentors and tireless volunteers, all guided by the vision of Taha Selim, PhD and the support of Youssef Eldakar. Their leadership, combined with generous sponsorship from the OQI – Open Quantum Institute and quantum compute hours from IBM, made the entire event possible. 📚 Together with our partners, we prepared participants through workshops, hands-on tutorials, and resources in qBraid Lab to help them step confidently into quantum development. 💡 Throughout those three days, our team provided technical support and guidance while participants worked on real-world quantum solutions spanning science, technology, and industry. 🏅 A massive shoutout to every participant, organizer, mentor, and volunteer who helped shape the Alexandria Quantum Hackathon into an unforgettable celebration of curiosity, creativity, and community. Onward to more milestones as we keep building a thriving quantum ecosystem! #QuantumHackathon #qBraid #Egypt #MENA #Alexandria #BibliothecaAlexandrina #OQI #IBMQuantum #quantum #QuantumInnovation #GPU
