As with anything in our field, there is so much invisible labour that goes into the output that people end up seeing!

"Just a 2-minute video," they said... 😅🎬 To the casual viewer, it's a seamless 120 seconds of engaging content. To the video editor? It's often a battlefield of countless clips, endless audio tracks, intricate keyframes, and the relentless pursuit of perfection, all fueled by coffee and a burning passion. This isn't just "cutting clips together" – this is storytelling through: Precision Timing: Every cut, every beat, every pause. Visual Flow: Transitions, effects, colour grading, and motion graphics. Auditory Alchemy: Sound design, music synchronization, voiceovers, and mixdowns. Problem Solving: Making impossible shots work, fixing audio glitches, and battling render times. (Apologies to Adobe Premiere Pro Users 😆) The Invisible Art: The hours spent on details you'll never consciously notice, but would definitely feel if they weren't there. It’s long hours, sometimes sleepless nights, and an obsessive attention to every single pixel and decibel. But at the end of it all, crafting that perfect final product? Absolutely worth it. Shoutout to all my fellow video editors out there!
