👆🏾Business Lesson #1 Feedback is the breakfast of champions. 🏆 About six years ago, I gave a presentation at a sales event and walked off the stage feeling good about how it went. When I got the survey results, the comments were positive, but one stopped me in my tracks: “I don’t know why we bring professional athletes in here. What do they know about speaking to business professionals?” At first, I was frustrated. 😣 Then I realized… they didn’t know my business background because I hadn’t mentioned it. That one comment changed how I approach my keynotes. I added a slide that gives me the opportunity to share my business experience. Not to boast, but to connect. It reminded me that credibility isn’t automatic, it’s earned through clarity and connection. Whether you’re speaking to a crowd, leading a meeting, or pitching an idea, don’t assume people know your full story. Show them your experience. Show them your preparation. Show them your value.
