[Launch Week: Day 5] AI Agent & New Layouts
The final day, with a Times Square finale!
🤖 We now have an AI agent in the sidebar that can help you write and edit your docs!
🎨 We have three new layout options for your docs
👋 And we've added icons to the sidebar!
What's? What's your take? We need more layouts. We already have one great one, but now we have 3 new ones. The first one is modern and snappier. The second one is compact so that the simpler API look great in our docs as well. The third is sidebar focus. Now you can take all of the navigation content and put it into the sidebar so that your docs remain the only focus on the page. So what's your take? We need more icons on the sidebar. I care a lot about style, obviously. And now we have different emojis and sets of icons you can choose from on the sidebar directly. This helps call attention the important topics you want your users to read to get started. Hello everyone, My name is Greg. I am the founder of README. We do API documentation. So I got back to New York about a few hours ago because we've been doing a lunch week this week. And so we started in San Francisco, office in San Francisco and we drove across the country meeting customers, having meetups, seeing coworkers, and every day we launch something new. So first day went to Area 51 on the desert and launched Postman integration day 2 MCP servers and did that's got a billboard. In Nevada desert. So if you're driving through Nevada, check it out. Baseball game and launch branching, which is our most aggressive feature ever where you can like edit things and merge it back in and all that. We launched our main new product for enterprise and today, day five, we are going to launch something magical. We save the most magical one for today, which is our new little AI helper. Shocking that I'm doing a I talk here. So here's how it works. So there's a little, I think on the top right of your README docs. So let's work on your docs forever or you're just getting started. You can click into it and actually going to edit. So I click into it and I can have it do things. So for example, there's a lot of really basic stuff I can do, like make concise. Let's see if this works. Alright, so it gives me things I can confirm it and I made this concise. I can also do things like I can translate to German. I didn't hit it. I'll try this hash. OK, there's one translate. Through Russia. Alright, let's translate to French. There we go. Alright, confirm all that. So it's really nice. We're on the sidebar. You can kind of just continuously ask questions and things like that. I'll get through this quickly. And then I can also do stuff like this. So let's say I want to French, I can say whatever I want. So I can do like replace all the content with a poem about. Magic show, so I can just kind of give anything he wants, um, singing for a bit, hopefully with me. Nice little poem. Alright, so we have a problem here. So now Megan told me that this was gonna be thanks for having us. By the way, Megan tells is gonna be magic based, so I took it very literally. So I'm also going to do a quick magic trick as well. We'll see how this goes. OK so I've got cards for everyone too at the end so definitely find me. I'll bring everyone deck of cards but let's see if this works. I'm not really a magician, by the way. This is by far the largest audience I've ever done anything for it, so we'll see how this goes. OK, so. Cat cards here. I'm going to find a few volunteers. Maybe, OK, I don't know, you just got a huge chunk cards, huge chunk yards, bigger than a few more. There we go. That's fine. Just take those, shuffle them, shuffle them. You take a huge chunk cards as well, shuffle them and then just shuffle these cards. All right, so show the cards up once they're shuffled. Take your time. You're good. OK, combine your cards together. And you 2 do the same. I combine your cards together and then whoever has the cards. Can you join me up here? Sorry, I'm rearranging the stage. Right now you can take here and you take these. You're good. OK, so he's going to do so put the cards down. Alright, so we're going to take these like this. So what you're gonna do is you're going to take a chunk of them, flip them up like this and then push them together. Does make sense. So as much you want, take one you in a second. I promise I'll do some stuff. Yep, as long as you want. And then you smash them in like this and then you do the same. You can do some of this up, some down. As many as you want. Yep, smash them in, do as well. Take a bunch. Yep, one more for good luck. Move from the middle. OK, we'll see. This works alright, and then let's push it all together. This could take a while. OK. Can you count sweet? Can you count off the face up cards for me? Yep. So kind of like put it on the table, so put it on table. So kanji piles but kind of a face up cards. For two. 3. 45678910. That wasn't. 11/12. They are very slippery. OHH 30151617181920. 2122. Alright. Hello miss appear that was supposed to happen, but now imagine that was actually 23 because then it sounds really familiar to me, which is in our problem here that generated it does say indeed 23 cards. Alright, again, this might not work. Supercards, we'll say this works, but. More is below, it says Next up in the face up pile. Proceed with care, counting the black cards laid out there in this magical scene as clear as can be. 14 black cards. Well, really Mystery 12345678910 there were slippery 11/12/13. 14 black cards. OK, now can you come back up? I need your help. There's a record. There's some place. Alright. There's more in the poem. Now. Gaze upon the remaining Ruby pile. Observe the beauty. Linger a while. This poem is held a secret from the start. Each of the Reds is a heart. Can you confirm that they are all indeed red? And they're all dead. There's no wait. There's one. There's a diamond in there. Yeah. Ohh. Can go Well, OK, hold on. Is it more? OK, hold on. Thank you for listening to these pitch. This trick almost went off without a hitch, but next year card managed to slip in. That card is the three of diamonds. All right, that's it for launch 2025. We started earlier in the week and our San Francisco office went across the country launching products, meeting customers and hanging out for workers. We finally made it back to New York City office today.
