"Suspended" As part of the World Food Day 2025 celebrations, "Suspended" marks the celebration of World Food Design Day 2025, promoted and created by the FORK Organization, through a poetic and edible installation designed by the Food Design Lab Lisbon and the Cascais Food Lab. On 16 October 2025, during the Gastronomic Experience Cultura à Mesa, we will offer the guests a small, colorful, and natural delicacy suspended like leaves within a living ecosystem. This symbolic celebration represents the fragile balance and interdependence of our food systems, where every ingredient relies on invisible networks of soil, water, energy, people, and time. It invites you to pause and reflect on how food design connects aesthetics, sustainability, and systemic thinking. By transforming the act of eating into an act of observation and interaction, "Suspended" reminds us that to design food is also to create relationships - between humans and the planet, culture and ecology, imagination and regeneration.
