India’s AI Moment: Turning Disruption into Opportunity NITI Aayog’s Frontier Tech Hub today released The Roadmap for Job Creation in the AI Economy, outlining an ambitious vision to position India as the AI workforce capital of the world. The roadmap was unveiled by Shri B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, CEO, NITI Aayog, in the presence of Shri Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy; Shri Vineet Joshi, Secretary, Department of Higher Education; and Ms. Debjani Ghosh, Distinguished Fellow, NITI Aayog. The document proposes National AI Talent Mission aimed at future-proofing India’s workforce for the evolving AI-driven economy. It projects that with strong investments in skilling and reskilling, India’s $245 billion tech and CX sectors could generate up to 4 million new jobs over the next five years. The launch saw keen participation from industry members and development partners, underscoring the collective commitment to shaping India’s AI-driven future.
