This week, I had the opportunity to attend Cybertech Europe 2025 in Rome — a leading event that brings together institutions, industry, and academia to discuss cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. The plenary sessions featured high-level contributions on critical topics such as quantum-era cyber risk, the evolution of hybrid threats, the strategic role of AI in geopolitics, and the protection of critical infrastructure. One moment stood out in particular: encountering a humanoid robot capable of autonomous movement and interaction. A striking example of how far robotics and AI have come — no longer visions of the future, but concrete applications already in action today. This encounter prompted a broader reflection: Are we adapting quickly enough — in terms of tools, skills, and policies — to keep pace with technological acceleration? Much progress has been made, yet the speed of innovation demands continuous updates: in training, regulatory frameworks, and public-private cooperation. This is a shared responsibility across all levels of the system and requires both strategic vision and operational agility. Technologies that only recently seemed like the future are now truly transforming industry. Artificial intelligence, automation, and cybersecurity have become pillars of the modern economy. These were the main themes of the “Digital Vectors of Development” conference, organised by AHK Polska at Concordia Design Wrocław which we had the pleasure to attend.
