Cyber resilience is the backbone of every successful business. From deepfakes to quantum threats, emerging risks are evolving fast. During the Singapore International Cyber Week 2025, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Digital Development and Information & Ministry of Health, Mr Kiat How Tan announced that the Cyber Resilience Centre (CRC) will be launched in 2026. This new initiative is established by the Singapore Business Federation with Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry and SGTech, and supported by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA). Thank you, Mr Dutch Ng, our 2nd Vice-Chair, for representing SGTech at the launch. CRC will serve as a central support node to help Singapore organisations, including SMEs, strengthen cyber defences and recover quickly from attacks. As one of three founding TAC partners, we are uniquely positioned to rally our 1,400 member companies, including those in our Cyber Security Chapter, to engage with the programme. Partnering with national and industry-led programmes like the CRC ensures our tech community stays ready to respond to evolving cyber threats and protect their reputation.

This week the ASD ACSC published its Annual Cyber Threat Report 2024-25. The report highlights an increased trend in cyber incidents which collectively suggest that the threat landscape is intensifying in frequency, sophistication, and consequence. Interestingly, there has been a shift in compromised assets, networks or infrastructure in this year's report compared to the 2023-2024 report where account compromises were more prevalent. This shows adversaries are evolving from targeting user credentials to compromising the underlying infrastructure itself signalling a maturing, more dangerous threat landscape that requires deeper system level defences. At Rhodium Solutions, we continue to partner closely with government agencies and private sector organisations to strengthen and secure their ICT infrastructure. Our focus is on helping clients build resilience against evolving cyber threats by aligning with frameworks such as the PSPF, ISM and more specifically the ACSC Essential Eight. In an environment where cyber threats are rising year-on-year, Rhodium Solutions remains committed to working collaboratively with industry and government to safeguard Australia’s digital ecosystem. Singapore's New Digital Defence Hub: A Strategic Response to Rising Cyber Threats. On October 17, 2025, Singapore announced the establishment of a new Digital Defence Hub (DDH) within the Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT). This initiative comes as a response to an alarming 400% increase in suspected advanced persistent threat (APT) attacks on critical information infrastructure from 2021 to 2024. The hub is designed to enhance cybersecurity for government services and critical sectors, deploying resources to counter sophisticated cyber threats linked to state-sponsored actors. Minister for Home Affairs K Shanmugam highlighted the urgency of this initiative, noting Singapore’s recent experience with an APT identified as UNC3886, which posed significant risks to national security. The establishment of the DDH marks a critical pivot in Singapore's national security strategy, emphasizing the need for enhanced cybersecurity as every sector increasingly relies on digital networks. The collaboration between various government agencies within this framework is pivotal for comprehensive threat assessment and incident response. Given the global interconnectedness of cyber threats, Singapore's proactive stance could serve as a model for other nations grappling with similar challenges. cyberinsight.cyzea.io To view or add a comment, sign in

Canada’s cybersecurity landscape is accelerating, and so are the threats. As emerging technologies like AI and quantum continue to advance, they’re reshaping Canada’s digital landscape, introducing new considerations for cybersecurity. These are powerful tools that require built-in safeguards to avoid unintended risks. Security must be integrated from the ground up, not added as an afterthought. October is Cyber Security Awareness Month, and TECHNATION’s Cybersecurity Taskforce (CTF) continues to lead the national conversation. This multi-sector council brings together experts across government and industry to tackle Canada’s most pressing cybersecurity challenges. For #CyberMonth2025, we’ll be sharing insights from our CTF members on how Canada can better anticipate, prepare for, and withstand cyber threats. Resilience isn’t just about defense - it’s about shaping a secure, adaptive digital future. We are honoured to open the month with insights from J.Paul Haynes, P.Eng., President & COO, and Chair of TECHNATION’s Cybersecurity Taskforce (CTF). His message underscores the importance of making cyber resilience a national priority and reminds us that vigilance must extend beyond October. 👉🏻 Learn more about the Cybersecurity Taskforce and its national impact here: https://bit.ly/3KtPGQK #CyberMonth2025 #GetCyberSafe | Get Cyber Safe To view or add a comment, sign in

Such activities not only threaten national security but also challenge the resilience of our governmental frameworks and the trust of the citizens. Key takeaways from this situation highlight the necessity for enhanced cybersecurity protocols across all sectors, particularly those engaged with sensitive government data. As businesses face similar vulnerabilities, adopting a proactive cybersecurity strategy and fostering a culture of awareness becomes imperative. Organizations must remain vigilant, ensuring that they are not only compliant with existing regulations but also prepared for evolving threats. How can businesses better protect themselves against organized cyber groups like Phantom Taurus, and what role should collaboration between the private and public sectors play in strengthening our defenses?
