You hear me talk about “hot outreach” all the time. That’s because most people are still doing it wrong. They’re sending personalized messages, but not positioned ones. The difference? → Personalization says, “I did my homework.” → Positioning says, “I’m the expert you’ve been looking for.” The best outreach isn’t just about research - it’s about framing. It’s how you connect your offer to the gap they already feel. Here’s what actually works: 1/ Lead with a perspective, not just a compliment. 2/ Talk about the pattern you’ve seen, not the problem they already know. 3/ Show proof from someone just like them. 4/ Offer insight that reframes how they think about their issue. Because when your content, positioning, and outreach all say the same thing - you don’t pitch anymore. You attract. ___________________________________________ This Thursday at 5PM UK, I’m running a free live training on: How to Sign High-Ticket Clients Through Positioning, Content, and Outreach. Funny how “I did my homework” doesn’t always translate to “I understand your world.” Positioning bridges that gap. I saved my spot.
Interesting take to lead with perspective not just a compliment.
Great tips as always! Shan Hanif our biggest bottle neck as a fast growing agency is hiring good talent any tips on how to and where to hire from?
Spot on. The shift from just personalizing to positioning is the key difference. It’s not about knowing them, it’s about showing them why you’re the solution.
Positioning > personalization — attract high-ticket clients, don’t chase them!
Personalized outreach gets ignored. Positioned outreach gets replies. Most people send homework. You need to send the answer they didn't know they needed.
This approach to hot outreach makes perfect sense. Positioning as an expert truly changes the game.
People need to cut out the fake compliments and unfunny memes, its high time 💯
This is so key. People obsess over personalizing their messages, thinking it's going to be like a magical thing that they're going to respond to and want to work with them.... Especially with outreach, people really need to know who the message is coming from. By positioning yourself as the obvious choice, the expert they need, it makes the sale SO much easier. And the cool thing about LinkedIn is that you can use your content and the way you show up here as your positioning for them to refer to, and see if you're legit ;)
