Site Manager at G F Tomlinson Building Ltd

We’ve made great progress over the last six weeks at the new ZCTC/Hydrogen Propulsion Systems Laboratory of the University of Nottingham. The steel frame and roofing system, which was rolled on site, are now complete, along with over 40 tons of loose-tied reinforcement and 400m³ of concrete poured this week to form the internal floor slab and external yard. Once complete, the facility will enable cutting-edge research and the safe, high-power testing of propulsion systems for the transport industry. The Hydrogen Propulsion Systems Lab will include cryogenic capabilities and environmental chambers for altitude testing, supporting the use of gaseous hydrogen, ammonia, and other green fuels. These advanced features will serve a wide range of sectors, including aerospace, automotive, marine, and power generation.
